REPORTS TO: Department Manager
JOB TYPE: Full-Time
DAYS/HOURS: Monday – Friday. Standard business hours. Weekends possible, as needed.
LOCATION: 2831 Research Drive, Rochester Hills, MI 48309
This is an onsite position.

What does the Automotive Diagnostic and Wiring Technician do?
The Automotive Diagnostic and Wiring Technician works in a hand-on role where they will wire, test, and troubleshoot automotive electrical systems and components. The technician will work directly with automotive bucks, sensors, and diagnostic tools to ensure proper wiring and functionality.
What you will be doing:
Wiring and connecting automotive electrical components and sensors according to schematics.
Using diagnostic tools to verify connections and troubleshooting wiring issues.
Maintaining and organizing wiring documentation and test logs.
Supporting engineers with hands-on wiring and diagnostics testing.
Using Microsoft Office programs for documenting and communicating.
Assisting with automated test system setup and basic software testing.
What makes you qualified:
Proven hands-on experience wiring automotive electronic components and using diagnostic tools.
Basic understanding of vehicle diagnostics, protocols, and wiring schematics.
Able to read and follow wiring schematics and diagrams.
Comfortable using hand tools, crimpers, and multimeters.
Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Adaptable to fast-paced work environment and willing to learn new skills.
What makes you an All Star:
Experience with automotive bucks or wire harness assembly.
Skilled at testing and verifying diagnostic communication of automotive components.
Comfortable using automotive diagnostic software tools.
Comfortable using automated software testing.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proven hands-on experience is preferred and substitutes for formal education. A technical certification or degree in Electrical, Automotive, or Computer Engineering is a plus.

A set work schedule will be provided, but some flexibility is required as hours may vary due to need
Attending training on non-scheduled hours may be required periodically with advanced notice
Physical demands: This role includes a combination of sedentary and moderate physical activity. Duties may require regular standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting or moving of objects up to 50 pounds. Work is performed in a well-lit, ventilated, and climate-controlled environment where standard safety precautions are observed.
Work environment: Work is generally performed within a normal office environment using standard office equipment; Moderate noise typical of a business office; Travel for company business may be required to attend off-site meetings, etc; May require early morning, night and weekend work assignments; Interaction with contracted providers, staff and vendors by phone and face-to-face will be constant and may be disruptive: Work may be stressful at times.
