JOB TYPE:            Full-Time

DAYS/HOURS:     Monday through Friday during standard business hours

LOCATION:          2831 Research Drive, Rochester Hills, MI 48309 (Onsite role)

As a Human Resources Generalist at SolvIT, you will play a key role in supporting employees and leadership across multiple HR functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and engagement initiatives. What does the HR Generalist do?

  • Execute daily HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring efficient and compliant processes.

  • Collaborate with leadership and team members to provide HR guidance, support employee relations, and resolve workplace concerns.

  • Coordinate recruiting and onboarding activities, including sourcing, interviewing, and facilitating a positive new hire experience.

  • Support administration of benefits and leave programs, including enrollments, updates, vendor coordination, and compliance.

  • Manage HR systems (HRIS/UKG), ensuring data accuracy, reporting capabilities, and workflow efficiency.

  • Stay informed on employment laws and HR best practices, recommending updates to policies and procedures as needed.

  • Assist with performance management, employee development, and engagement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Human Resources with exposure to multiple functional areas

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

  • Experience supporting HR functions such as benefits administration, employee relations, recruiting, and compliance

  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and solve problems independently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using an HRIS system (UKG experience preferred)

  • Background in a small to midsize organization with exposure to multiple HR functions

  • Interest in improving processes and increasing operational efficiency

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and drive them forward

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

  • Ability to bring new ideas to enhance employee experience and HR processes

  • Interest in long-term HR growth and leadership development 

Can you meet these physical demands?

  • Physical Demands: Primarily a sedentary role with occasional standing, walking, and light lifting in a low-risk environment.

  • Work Environment: Work is performed in a standard office setting with typical business noise levels. Occasional travel for meetings may be required. The role involves regular interaction with employees, vendors, and leadership, and may require flexibility in scheduling based on business needs.

  • Execution of company confidentiality and non-solicitation agreements is required.
