What does the Human Resources Generalist do?
Oversee day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth and compliant processes.
Partner with leadership and employees to provide HR guidance, support employee relations, and address workplace concerns.
Lead recruiting and onboarding efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and delivering a strong new hire experience.
Administer benefits and leave programs, including enrollments, changes, vendor coordination, and compliance with applicable laws.
Maintain and optimize HR systems and records (HRIS/UKG), ensuring accuracy, reporting, and workflow efficiency.
Monitor employment laws and HR best practices, recommending policy and process enhancements to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Support performance management, employee development, and engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
Analyze HR metrics and contribute to special projects, using data to inform decisions and improve HR practices.
What makes you qualified:
1–3+ years of experience in Human Resources with exposure to multiple HR functions
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
Experience supporting areas such as benefits administration, employee relations, leave management, recruiting, and compliance
Solid understanding of employment laws and HR best practices
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter with strong initiative and problem-solving skills
What makes you an All-Star:
Experience working with an HRIS (UKG experience strongly preferred)
Experience in a small-to-midsize (at least 50 employees) organization where exposure to multiple HR functions is common
Interest in process improvement and operational efficiency
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and drive them forward
Experience using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Creative thinker who brings new ideas to enhance employee experience and HR processes
Interest in long-term HR growth and leadership development
Can you meet these physical demands?
Physical demands: Non-strenuous with low risk; primarily sedentary with some walking, standing, and carrying of light to moderate objects; Adequately lighted, ventilated and climate-controlled area where normal precautions must be observed.
Work environment: Work is generally performed within a normal office environment using standard office equipment; Moderate noise typical of a business office; Travel for company business may be required to attend off-site meetings, etc.; May require early morning, night, and weekend work assignments; Interaction with contracted providers, staff, and vendors by phone and face-to-face will be persistent and may be disruptive.
